Description

RARE!  ONE SET AVAILABLE!

A rare, complete run of TILLER magazine, which consisted of twelve issues in two volumes and was published bi-monthly by Robert Edwards starting in September 1982.  Each issue contains all of the original tipped-in images and inserts, and each issue is in VERY GOOD or better condition.

Included is the Prospectus which was included with the first issue.  The production was wholly supported by the proceeds of one thousand subscriptions at $125/year; there were no advertisements.

The first nine issues were printed on Hahnemuhle Ingres-Buttenpapier by Henry Morris at his Bird & Bull Press in Newtown, Pennsylvania, with the following three issues printed at The Stinehour Press and The Meriden Gravure Company. Each issue contains scholarly articles on various aspects of the Arts and Crafts Movement, and the quality of the scholarship and the production of the magazine are outstanding. Issues of this short-lived publication rarely appear on the market, and it is even more rare to find a complete run in collectable condition.
