“Inspiring Reform” is a beautifully printed and bound book, long out of print, published in 1997. It was the catalogue to accompany an exhibition celebrating the centenary of the Boston Arts and Crafts Society, the first such organization in the country. This is the first book devoted to Boston’s contribution to the national and international Arts and Crafts movement, reproducing more than 150 works dating from the 1890s to the 1930s including outstanding examples of furniture, ceramics, metalwork, jewelry, textiles, book arts and typography, photography, and color woodblock prints. Boston had it all, as you will see from the many exquisite color and period photographs and illustrations. Without question this is one of the best Arts and Crafts books we have ever sold.
