Description

The author, a former Executive Director of the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, has written a fine history of Gustav Stickley’s former home, including chapters on Gustav Stickley and his place in the American Arts and Crafts Movement, the Log House (Stickley’s residence), the  farm and other buildings on the site, life at Craftsman Farms during the Stickley years, life at Craftsman Farms during the Farny years, and the rescue of the property from planned condo development in the 1980s to the present. (Craftsman Farms is now a must-see house museum.) If you cannot visit Craftsman Farms in person, “visit” the place with this book, which includes hundreds of rare and period photos.
