Description
This is a 28 page, plus illustrations, booklet touting the book offerings of The Roycrofters in 1903. The content is hard to describe – it’s not just a listing of books, but also descriptions of some that are in typical Elbert Hubbard prose. Example: for “The Book of Songs” by Heinrich Heine, it reads “The Grown-up – man or woman – who does not read, re-read, mark, line, linger over and love The Book of Songs, is letting the joy of life give him the slip.” Pages are printed with a light yellow decorative border, and splashes of red type are scattered throughout. The cover has a light pencil marking as well as very light staining, but overall very good condition.
